Health Ministry: Half of child cancer cases in Haifa area result of air pollution

Statistics provided by the public health services show that in Haifa and surrounding area, 30 of the 60 children under 14 who have developed cancer were made sick by air pollution. The report also revealed that the rate of cancer cases in the Haifa Bay area is clearly higher than the national average.
Haifa's municipality hit back at the Ministry of Health, suggesting that its staff "move their butts out of the fluorescent lights and get out in the field" rather than "publish analyses".
