Hamas officials and former prisoners arrested in Nablus

In a joint operation carried out by the Shin Bet, IDF and Israel Police, dozens of Hamas officials, among them high-ranking members of the organization, and former prisoners of Israel who took part in Hamas activities were arrested overnight on Tuesday in Nablus.

The operation was carried out as Hamas' activities in the West Bank has grown and the terrorist group that governs Gaza aimed to plan an attack on Israeli territory.

The detainees, who were active in financing and directing Hamas' headquarters outside of Gaza were interrogated by the Shin Bet.
