Salafist group fires 2 mortar shells at Hamas military post west of Khan Younis
A Salafist jihadist group in Gaza said Friday it fired two mortar shells at a Hamas military base west of Khan Younis.
Witnesses confirmed to AFP explosions were heard in the area in question in southern Gaza.
"God has enabled your brothers of the Partisans of the Islamic State in Jerusalem to target the al-Qassam Qadessiya base of the gang (Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas), west of Khan Younis on Friday morning with two 82 mm mortar shells," the group said in a statement posted on the Internet.
