UN racism expert voices concern at Nazi-inspired Greek party
A senior United Nations racism expert has expressed concern at the continued racist discourse and incitement to violence by Greece's Nazi-inspired Golden Dawn party, whose leadership is on trial for allegedly running a criminal organization.
Mutuma Ruteere says the party – Greece's third-largest – "makes no effort to hide its violent and undemocratic agenda." He says Golden Dawn's "racist and xenophobic discourse" has exacerbated discrimination against vulnerable groups, including migrants and Roma.
