Shaked gets bodyguard after online threats

Incoming justice minister Ayelet Shaked been assigned a bodyguard after she received death threats and was depicted in a Nazi uniform on social media.

Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein said he was "shocked to see explicit threats" to Ayelet Shaked's life. It was immediately decided that she be assigned security, he told Army Radio on Monday.

The appointment of Shaked, a member of the right-wing Bayit Yehudi party, has sparked anger among detractors in Israel, who argue that she is trying to limit the powers of the judiciary.
