Soldier kidnapped by suspected Islamist militants in Egypt's Sinai

Suspected Islamist militants kidnapped an Egyptian soldier in the restive North Sinai province on Friday, security sources said.

Gunmen stopped an ambulance carrying two soldiers south of Al-Arish, security sources said.

The gunmen took the ambulance and one of the soldiers, and left the other soldier and a paramedic behind, the sources said.
