Qatar announces new reconstruction projects in Gaza
The chief of the Qatari National Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, Mohammad al-Amadi, announced the launch of new projects to rebuild the Strip, Palestinian news agency reported on Saturday.
"The reconstruction process is progressing very well as construction material is being shipped to Gaza everyday without any obstacles," al-Amadi told Ma'an, adding Israel has approved all Qatari-funded projects and that contracts for these projects have been signed.
Al-Amadi said that the reconstruction is going ahead as planned and that soon, 200-300 Palestinian families whose homes in Gaza were destroy during the war last summer will get "what they deserve" until the reconstruction of their homes begins.
