Rivlin sends condolences to Biden over loss of his son to cancer
President Reuven Rivlin has written a letter of condolence to US Vice President Joe Biden, whose son Beau passed away Sunday at the age of 46, after a battle with cancer.
“On behalf of the citizens of the State of Israel and myself, please accept our sincere condolences on the tragic loss of your dear son Beau," wrote Rivlin. "Although his brilliant career has been sadly cut short, his many wonderful achievements leave a proud legacy for his children and for all the Biden family.”
The president concluded by saying: “Our heartfelt sympathies go out to you and all the members of your family at this very difficult time.”
