Nusra Front leader: 'Islamic State caliphate is illegitimate'
Abu Mohammad al-Julani, chief of Nusra Front, an Al-Qaida branch in Syria, said that "Islamic State's caliphates are illegitimate. Muslim religious leaders have rejected them." According to him, his group tried to reconcile with ISIS several times, to no avail.
Al-Julani added that his group has no intention of ruling Syria alone and the goal is to form an Islamist goverment that will be run according to Islamic law.
