Minister Erdan to begin interviews for new police commissioner

Interior Security Minister Gil Erdan will on Sunday begin a round of interviews with the entire top brass in the Israel Police Department in preparation for appointing its next commissioner.

Erdan will interview 14 police Major Generals from the senior officer corps and is expected to prioritize finding a suitable candidate from within the Israel Police. After the round of interviews, the minister will consider expanding the search to external candidates.
