In light of recent events, President Reuven Rivlin said:  "Art is not the property of this or that camp, the right or the left, Mizrachi or Ashkenazi. Woe to us if art falls victim to dangerous politicization from one side or another. Art is not a weapon but a tool for dialogue, communication; a tool that breaks barriers, that doesn't build walls. "

The President also invited all parties to the Presidential Residence to clarify their arguments for the sake of Israeli art.
