US embassies can't issue visas due to technical issue compromising database
Hundreds of Israelis cannot receive travel visas to the United States due to a problem in the computer system, which has been affecting American embassies all over the world since the weekend.
The technical issue in the US State Department's databases left embassies and consulates unable to issue visas, regular passports and other travel documents.
The State Department said it was working to fix the problem but did not say how long it would take.
