90 days in prison for soldier who stole and sold weapons from IDF
A soldier was sentenced to 90 days in prison charged with taking weapons from the army, other weapons charges, and ties to crime. Additionally the soldier must pay a NIS 5,000 fine or five months prison in exchange, and a lowering of his rank to private.
The soldier was found guilty of taking 8-10 flash bang grenades from his unit on a bi-weekly basis, which eventually reached 300 grenades. The military court ruled that the soldier sold the grenades for NIS 250 each.
