IDF to issue Protective Edge campaign citation to operation's participants
A year after Operation Protective Edge in Gaza, the IDF will begin distributing campaign medals to participants. The medal will be worn on the participant's dress uniform- and will be awarded to anyone who spent at least five days in the operation.
The colors of the medal will be blue and white- like the Israeli flag, red to symbolize the blood of the fallen, orange to symbolize the Israeli home front, and yellow to represent the desert battlefield where the operation took place.
