Arbel Aloni, who was convicted of the murder of taxi driver Derek Roth, was freed from the Rimonim Prison on Wednesday morning after 21 and a half years in prison.
Aloni, who murdered Roth along with Moshe Ben-Ivgi when the two were only 14 years old, was initially sentenced to 16 years imprisonment. During a furlough from prison, the two robbed an elderly woman and as a result sentenced to five more years.
Aloni was sentenced to an additional 6 months for fraud. Ben-Ivgi is still serving his sentence.
