Actor Omar Sharif dies at age 83
The Egyptian film actor Omar Sharif passed away Friday at the age of 83 according to a report by the BBC.
Sharif was a Golden Globes winner in 1965 for the film "Doctor Zhivago" and again in 1962 for his role in "Lawrence of Arabia" which also earned him an Oscar nomination. It was reported two months ago that Sharif was suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
