Obama thanks China's leader for role in Iran nuclear deal
President Barack Obama is thanking Chinese President Xi Jinping for China's role in securing the nuclear deal with Iran.
The White House says Obama and Jinping spoke Monday, the same day the U.N. Security Council unanimously endorsed the deal.
China is a permanent member of the Security Council and was part of the group of five Security Council members plus the EU that negotiated the deal with Iran.
