Fires break out in northern Israel, Jordan Valley

Several fires broke out on Saturday afternoon in the Galilee, Wadi Ara and the Jordan Valley.

 

A wild fire broke out near the Druze village of Sajur in northern Israel. Five firefighting crews, along with KKL firefighting teams, were working to put out the fire. They were being aided by four airtankers.

 

A forest fire broke out near the villages of Ar'ara and Ayn al-Sahla in Wadi Ara. Firefighting forces evacuated nearby homes due to the risk of the fire spreading, and an airtanker was called to the scene.

 

A fire that broke out earlier in the day near a landfill in the Jordan Valley regained force on Saturday afternoon. Two firefighting teams were called to the scene, while Jordanian forces were working to put out the fire from the other side of the border fence.
