Supreme Court rejects bulk of petition against Infiltation Prevention Act, limits maximum detention time

Nine Supreme Court justices on Tuesday rejected a petition filed by human rights groups regarding the legality of the third and most recent version of the so-called "Infiltration Prevention Law", with the exception of the question of the maximum length of time refugees and asylum seekers can be held in detention centers.

The court said it unanimously rejected the matter of the law allowing infiltrators to be held in custody for up to three months.
