Netanyahu: Natural gas plan will be approved with great majority
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday the proposed natural gas plan will be approved, despite objections.
"Today we will pass a historic decision, which will bring hundreds of billions of shekels into the state coffers. This money will be used for education, health, welfare and other national necessities," he said at the beginning of the weekly cabinet meeting.
"I believe we'll pass this decision with a great majority, and rightly so," the prime minister continued. "We need to get the gas out of the sea. The decision is an important milestone. We're overcoming the obstacles one step at a time, this move won't be stopped."
