Attempted smuggling of fiberglass, possibly for rocket construction, into Gaza thwarted

Customs officials and the Shin Bet on Monday thwarted the smuggling of two tons of fiberglass into the Gaza Strip at the Nitzana Border Crossing in southern Israel. The Shin Bet said they believed the fiberglass was intended for use as raw materials for long-range rockets.

The fiberglass was discovered in a delivery that aroused custom officials' suspicion.
