Syrian opposition: 'Islamic State used mustard gas on attack near Aleppo'

Syrian opposition sources claim Islamic State used mustard gas during the weekend when it shelled Mara', a suburb of the city of Aleppo. Zaher al-Saket, a former officer in the Syrian army said to Turkish news agency Anatolia that it is reasonable to assume that the source of gas was in the Iraqi army stores during the days of Saddam Hussein.

The hospital director  in the area said some of the injured complained of shortness of breath, red eyes and skin, swelling of the eyelids, itching and headaches. "A bad smell wafted from the victim's clothes. The same smell drifted from where the mortar shell fell," the director.
