Israeli triple jumper wins silver medal at Beijing World Championships in Athletics
Israeli triple jumper Hanna Knyazyeva-Minenko won a silver medal on Monday at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing.
Knyazyeva-Minenko jumped 14.78 meters in her second jump and broke the Israeli record by 17 centimeters.
This is the third medal Israel has won in the World Championships in Athletics, and the first since 2001. It is also the first medal won by a female athlete.
