Dozens of Jerusalem merchants and activists protest increased enforcment on Shabbat

Dozens of convenience store owners and activists are currently protesting outside of a Jerusalem city council meeting, which is debating a measure proposed by the Meretz and labor parties, which demands and end to the increased enforcement against shops which remain open on Shabbat.
"The mayor has a chance to fix the injustice caused by his decision, a decision which is based in political considerations and shady business," said Gabi Ben David, a local market owner.
