Iran refuses to issue visa for Israeli conducter
Iran has refused to issue a visa for Daniel Barenboim, who heads the Berlin orchestra Staatskapelle, because he is Israeli,the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Culture said sunday .
"We have no objection as to the coming of the German national orchestra in Iran, our opposition is regarding the person who conducts the orchestra. This person has several nationalities including Israeli citizenship," said Hossein Noushabadi quoted by ISNA news agency.
