Akunis gives up Broadcasting Authority duties
Minister Ofir Akunis announced Friday his resignation as a minister responsible for the Israel Broadcasting Authority and the Second Authority for Television and Radio. Akunis will remain information, technology and space minister.
Akunis' announcement came in wake of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement that he would work to reverse a clause in a new law that prevents journalists working under the Broadcasting Authority from voicing their opinions, a clause that Akunis pushed for.
