Prince Ali still deciding whether to stand again for FIFA

Prince Ali bin al-Hussein, who was beaten by FIFA President Sepp Blatter in the May election, is still deciding whether to stand again in the new poll.

The Jordanian told the SoccerEx conference that he's still talking to national associations.

The prince denied Blatter the required majority in the first round of voting in May but stepped aside before second round. Blatter, though, announced plans to quit four days later as dual U.S. and Swiss criminal inquiries into football escalated.

The prince said of the 17-year president: "He should have stepped down a while ago if he had the best interests of football."

The deadline to gain the five required nominations from federations to stand in the February election is Oct. 26.
