Egyptian Cabinet resigns, Sisi accepts

The Egyptian cabinet has submitted its resignation to president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi , who accepted the resignation. There has been a lot of criticism of the government's performance recently, with the Egyptian agriculture minister having resigned last week amid corruption allegations.

Sisi told the cabinet to remain in a caretaker role until a new cabinet was formed, the statement said.
