Israel's Supreme Court head harshly condemns Gilad Erdan

Miriam Naor, President of the Supreme Court of Israel harshly condemned Gilad Erdan, the Public Security Minister.

In a special announcement she wrote that Erdan's proposal, according to which judges who lightly punished stone-throwers would have their promotions hindered was "suitable for countries that we would not like to be compared to, rather than to our country, a Jewish and democratic state. Israel's judges will continue to perform their duties faithfully, and shall fear no one."
