Lapid met with Former Saudi intelligence minister in order to advance peace initiative
Head of the "Yesh Atid" party, Yair Lapid, has met with Saudi Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud in New York, in an attempt to build support for a regional peace conference between Israel and its Arab neighbors. The meeting with Prince Al Faisal, the former Saudi intelligence minister, who also served as the country's ambassador the US and UK, was organized after the Saudis read Lapid's recent policy speech, in which he called for a new peace initiative based on the Saudi peace plan.
