Smart fences completed at 12 Gaza-adjacent communities

The Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that it had completed building 12 smart fences around a dozen border-adjacent towns near Gaza as part of the initiative to boost security in the area after Operation Protective Edge.

The cost of the overall project is estimated at NIS 30 million, and included dozens of kilometers of smart fences, advanced technological means, and maintenance for the fences for three years.
