Palestinian seriously wounded in gun fight with Israeli police
A 25-year-old Palestinian was seriously wounded in an exchange of gunfire with Israeli Border Police troops during a riot in East Jerusalem's Shuafat refugee camp just after 1am Saturday morning.
Border policemen subsequently said they found a knife on the Palestinian along with the shell cases from the rounds he fired at the authorities. The wounded individual was evacuated by the Israelis to Hadassah Medical Center for treatment.
