Request to delay appeal hearing of Islamic Movement northern branch head rejected

The Jerusalem District Court has rejected the appeal of Raed Salah, head of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement, to delay his appeal hearing regarding the 11-month prison sentence that has been handed down to him.

 

Saleh explained his request was due to fear that the current "explosive atmosphere" due to the security situation. "Hearings at the Jerusalem District Court over the last few days have passed as planned and without incident," Judge Rafi Carmel wrote in response.
