French ambassador to Israel summoned due to French proposal to station observers at Temple Mount

The French Ambassador to Israel, Patrick Maisonnave, was summoned to the Foreign Ministry in Tel Aviv, following the French proposal in the United Nations Security Council, calling for international observers to be stationed at the Temple Mount.

Netanyahu was furious at the proposal and its formulation which ignored Palestinian incitement and the fact that it was the Palestinians who violated the status quo and brought fireworks and explosives on the Temple Mount.
