One rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed in an open area in southern Israel Wednesday night.

The code red sirens sounded in the Sha'ar HaNegev and Sdot Negev Regional Councils next to the Gaza border, but the projectile landed in The Sha'ar HaNegev area.
  • No injuries or damage were reported in the rocket strike.
It was initially unclear who may have been responsible for the attack.
The last rocket to strike Israel was over ten days ago, in the midst of heavy West Bank unrest and riots along the Gaza border.
