President Rivlin on online incitement: I fear for democracy, not for my life

President Rubi Rivlin addressed the wave of incitement against him on social media networks during a memorial service for Yitzhak Rabin.

"I am not worried for my life and neither is my wife," Rivlin said. "We fear for democracy. We must understand that today the internet has turned into a city square for people in Israel and around the world. Every time the question of whether we are talking about incitement of freedom of expression arises, I support the Court's lenient interpretation of things in order to allow freedom of expression.
