MK Ahmad Tibi suspended as Knesset Deputy Speaker for 2 weeks

MK Ahmad Tibi of the Joint List has been suspended from his role as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset and will not conduct plenary sessions for the next to weeks.

The decision was made by the Ethics Committee following an petition by MK Ze'ev Elkin of the Likud that he submitted after a dispute between the two at a plenary meeting two weeks ago.

The Ethics Committee also received a petition from MK Tibi against MK Elkin and reprimanded the latter.
