Hamas praised the "resistance" by residents of the refugee camp. According to a Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri, "The Israeli war crimes won't break the will of the Palestinian people." Zuhri called on the international community to take responsibility for the "Israeli terrorism," which according to him is the "pinnacle of terror and evil in the world."

Fourteen other Palestinians were arrested by IDF forces in the West Bank overnight, including five who were accused of terrorism and violence against security forces in riots.

Searches conducted along with the arrests revealed weapons including pistols, rifles, commando knives and ammunition.
