Government approves 5 new towns in Negev region

The Israeli government has approved the establishment of five new towns in the Negev, in line with a proposal by Construction Minister Yoav Galant. The towns to be established are Shelah, Neve Gurion, Daniel, Eshel Hanasi, and Dia.
Minister Galant spoke of the decision, saying, "The towns' establishment is necessary to strengthen the hold of the less-populated areas of national importance in the Negev."
