IDF chief Eisenkot makes secret visit to Brussels

Despite state of emergency, Eisenkot travels to the Belgian capital to meet with head of EU European Command, and likely with European intelligence officials as well.

IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot made a secret visit to Brussels on Monday, several days after Belgium, which is facing the threat of terror attacks, went on high alert and a declared a state of emergency in its capital city.

The IDF chief's security team was initially wary of going ahead with the trip in light of the sensitive state of security in Brussels, where hundreds of troops were patrolling the streets.
