Report: Lebanese soldiers kidnapped by Islamic State released
A Lebanese government official said on Friday that Lebanese soldiers who were kidnapped by Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra over a year ago have been released, according to Lebanese news outlet Al-Mayadeen.
In August last year, the two terrorist organizationps kidnapped more than 30 Lebanese soldiers and demanded a prisoner exchange. Seven soldiers were released shortly after the kidnapping, two were beheaded by IS and two others were killed by Jabhat al-Nusra. All previous attempts to strike a deal to get the soldiers released had failed.
