The Muslim community of California strongly condemns California shooting

The Muslim community of California strongly condemned Wednesday's shooting that left 14 dead and 17 injured, however authorities have not yet linked the killing to Islamism.

"We condemn unreservedly the horrible act that happened today," said Hussam Ayloush, head of CAIR in Los Angeles, an association defending the rights of Muslims.

For now, the media have mentioned the name of only one suspect, Syed Farook, an employee who worked for the San Bernardino health services, where the shooting occurred.

Farook, a US citizen, was killed, along with a woman. Both were armed with assault rifles and handguns.
