North American olim are no strangers to doughnuts, but for their first Hanukkah in Israel, Nefesh B'Nefesh decided to introduce them to the Israeli sufgania.
The NGO produced a Buzzfeed-style taste-testing video, giving a group of new immigrants a series of different sufganiot, from the traditional jelly and powdered sugar sufgania to exotic looking ones topped with a variety of flavors invented by Israeli bakeries for the holiday.
The youngest olim to participate in the tasting are four-year-old Noam and Eitan, while the oldest was 90-year-old Joseph, a Holocaust survivor who made aliyah to be close to his lone soldier grandson.
