British commando SAS forces infiltrated Islamic State-controlled territory in Syria and participated in the operation that killed Mohammed Emwazi, known by his nickname "Jihadi John," the UK's Daily Mail newspaper reported.
According to the report, eight SAS troops entered Raqqa, the Islamic State group's "capital" in Syria, where Emwazi was located, and assisted with airstikes.
Emwazi, who carried out numerous beheadings for IS, was killed on November 12, 2015.
