"The prime minister is expected to deliver his testimony regarding the gas plan to the Finance Committee on Tuesday. We are here following two weeks of discussions, during each of which every justification and logic behind the plan has crumbled one by one," Barlev continued.
In Caesarea, around 200 protesters marched with torches to the prime minister's private residence. Another protest took place opposite Tel Aviv's Habima Square, from where the demonstrators marched towards the government headquarters on Begin Street.
Protesters held signs saying: "On Tuesday in the Knesset the plan won't pass" and "Bibi give gas." They also called out: "We won't surrender to the tycoons," "The people can break the monopoly" and "In the rain and in the cold the gas plan won't pass."
Other demonstrations took place in Modi'in, Kiryat Shmona, Ashdod and Kfar Yona. Protest marches also set out in Nahariya, Zichron Ya'akov and Arad.
