Four Israelis wounded in two West Bank attacks

Two Israelis were wounded, one seriously, in a suspected shooting attack in the northern West Bank on Wednesday evening. Earlier on Wednesday, two Israelis were wounded in a stabbing attack in Hebron, one of whom was the son of a former MK. The attacks followed 48 hours of relative calm.

Two Israelis were wounded in a suspected shooting attack in the northern West Bank on Wednesday evening. Magen David Adom paramedics initially received a report of an accident close to Avnei Hefetz, which actually turned out to be a drive-by shooting.

 

 

The wounded were named as Shaul and Rachel Nir, residents of the Jewish Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem. Shaul Nir is a former head of the Jewish Underground who had previously served a prison sentence for murder.

He was moderately-to-seriously wounded and taken to Beilinson Hospital where he is expected to undergo surgery. Rachel Nir woman was lightly wounded and taken to a hospital in Kfar Saba.

 

An examination of the scene by IDF troops and forensics experts found that 23 bullets had been shot at the vehicle.

The vehicle carrying the attackers left in the direction of Tulkarem. Large security forces are scouring the area and checkpoints have been set up.

Earlier on Wednesday, two Israelis were wounded in a stabbing attack near the Beit Hadassah checkpoint in Hebron on Wednesday afternoon. The Palestinian attacker was shot and killed.  

 

According to MDA reports, an Israeli civilian was lightly wounded and suffering from a stab wound to his leg, while a soldier was moderately injured with stab wounds to his upper body. Both the victims were being transferred to Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

The wounded civilian was the son of former Bayit Yehudi MK Orit Struck. Struck told ynet: "I'm very emotional and on the way to the hospital to see my son."

A 40-year-old Israeli was critically wounded in a stabbing attack near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Monday afternoon, after which the terrorist was also shot and killed by Border Police troops .

 

Two Israelis were lightly wounded on Sunday evening in a vehicular attack in Jerusalem and a Palestinian perpetrator was killed by an IDF soldier at the scene.

The Palestinian arrived on the scene in a vehicle and hit two individuals who were lightly wounded in the incident. He then proceeded to exit the vehicle and stab a 65-year-old who was also lightly wounded. He then fled down the street where a police unit stopped their vehicle to confront the attacker.

 

A solider who happened to be disembarking from a nearby bus shot and killed the terrorist.
