White House spokesman Josh Earnest said on Wednesday that some Republican presidential candidates' use of divisive rhetoric was a "calculated political strategy to divide the country."
Earnest has sharply criticized Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump's comments that Muslims should not be allowed to enter the United States.
