Kiryat Arba youths arrested on suspicion of stone-throwing are released

The two youths from Kiryat Arba who were arrested on Saturday night on suspicion of throwing stones at Elias Junction near the settlement were released on Sunday morning, after giving an open testimony as to their involvement in the attack that injured a four-and-a-half-year-old Israeli child.

The interrogation revealed that a group of several youths demonstrated at the junction with Israeli flags, protesting the ongoing security situation on Route 60. On their way back to Kiryat Arba, several of them threw stones at an Israeli car, wounding the child.

The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected.
