Turkel Committee approves appointment of Yossi Cohen as Mossad chief

The Turkel Committee for Senior Appointments on Sunday approved the candidacy of Yossi Cohen for head of the Mossad.

The approval process included meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the outgoing Mossad chief Tamir Pardo and Cohen himself. Cohen's appointment will now be brought to the government for approval in the next government meeting.
