Yom Kippur to be officially recognized as a holiday at the UN

The United Nations has confirmed Yom Kippur as an official UN holiday, during which no official meetings will take place, and employees will be given a day off.
The recognition came after efforts by Israel's UN Ambassador, Danny Danon, along with US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power.
